Santa is about winter and so am I

I've grown up in Montana enduring the cold weather and several feet of snow on my front porch every winter morning. Now that I live in Portland the circumstance has changed and instead of being met by pounds of flaky snow I receive a breeze of cold air that sends chills to the bone. The best part is at this time snow is not abundant where I grew up but hand fulls can be reached in a few hours on Mount Hood. I can't wait to begin my outdoor adventures this winter. Not to mention my indoor adventures with Recesstime.

Anticon 2009
The Santa fest called 'Anticon' builded in NOPO after the downtown got squashed (sort of).

LSDND Halloween Edition
I have to admire LSDND those guys know how to rock. Be sure to check out Diamond Tuck in Portland also. They might explode when they play together.

Check out the new galleries online in 'Live Music' and parties.

Future Party, Mush Ball, Oh My!

It's been a fun weekend. Mushball tournament, futuristic parties, kickball games, and playing with the fire at Radio Room.

Recestime hosted their first Mush Ball Tournament Saturday morning. A sport of a softball type game with a ball that is more or less wrapped in towels with a leather layer on the surface. Afterwards we hit up Ponderosa which turned into a bar hopping group kicked out of Dancing Bare (Awesome!), Kenton Club, and The Tavern Barn. Recesstime knows how to party!

That same night I jumped off the Recess crew to meet my friends for a Futuristic Party. DJ Chris Wu plays in the basement throwing down tunes that kept everyone in the groove. At least a 100 people, dressed in everything from plastic armor to crazy green hair and glow sticks, drank and danced while another band played on the 1st floor. Rap singers and a full band filled in the blanks in the house, I didn't find out who they were but we all enjoyed it. The top floor, very exclusive was a private bath and bedrooms I got a short tour from the hosts and took a beautiful picture of her and friend.

Following my own party I visited my infamous brother, whom I love, hanging out at his friend Eugene's new place for a house warming get-together.

Sunday Recesstime rocked the 2nd week of kickball, distributing the jerseys! Now the Fall season is in style sporting every color except for champion red. After the games we stopped into our sponsor bar, Radio Room, to played with the fire and talk cheers.

In the past, Recesstime threw down Dodge Ball, be sure to visit the dodge ball photo dump. Sorry pictures are only from Beaumont!

Happy Trails,

Smug Mug Account

I've recently setup a smug mug account. It's good to finally find a good printer and service to host all the pictures and work done between Nick and myself. I hope you get the chance to check it out and order some prints. Be sure to give me any suggestions for the site, all is appreciated.

The snow is there, but spring is here. Winter Dodge Ball has ended and Spring Kickball has kicked off.

My brother and nephew's birthday coming up the third weekend of April.

I'm looking forward to getting Nick Spiker's fine art work put together and ready for showing. As well as produce some new works for art to expand our current collection of 15 prints. Be sure to keep an eye out for show dates and where they'll be on display in the near future.

The Package is in...

I stopped into the Phoenix Media's office and picked up the fliers a couple days ago. They look great and have a nice little plug for Phoenix Media on the back. 5k fliers is quite a bit so feel free to ask for some! I'm going to be dropping these in places around Portland.

A reflextion on Big Mountain

Big Mountain, now referred to as Whitefish Mountain Resort, gave opportunity for many great photography moments. Here are a few of mine taking part hitting the slopes with Kalispell Ski Members.

This week has been exciting, filling the hours with snow and downhill adventures, you know what I'm talking about. I hit up Meadows on Thursday and took on the flatter chested Timberline Friday. The weather went in and out for Meadows. Our sun peaked in giving chance for some beautiful carving but my friends and I couldn't get enough light on Timberline. I'm happy to share my first time on Mount Hood during what could be the best days for the mountain. I enjoyed both to the fullest. I can't wait to ride Meadows on a clear day and come back to Timberline when I can ride the Palmer lift.

Spandex, Leg Wrestling, & Art Shows

Recesstime's team Hit For Brains wears spandex Thursday, in nice bright colors. Last week they wore an assortment of wigs.

At the bar, Cindy shows everyone how Leg Wrestling is done. A great spectacle after 40mins of dodge ball and a few beers. I think a few people placed bets!

The Love Gallery is having an opening party tonight. Be sure to check it out and if you missed it keep an eye on more large events to come!

New Flyer

I've been checking out PhoenixMedia and they had a sweet offer this week for 5000 full color fliers. Without hesitation I put together a design and sent it in. Here it is:

This is a slew of productions that I've been apart of. If you're a reader you'll recognize Chariots of Rubber but the Matador shoot is new. Jeffrey Wonderful whom I've been working for is the Director for both. Enjoy.

Worked as a Production Photographer for the "Matador" Bar Commercial.

Worked as a photographer, look for all the still frames in this video!

UPDATE: I've recently started working with SUN Program, sponsored by Recesstime. I now instruct kids how to play dodgeball! It's fun and I'm getting more exercise. Another school found out about my dodge ball instructing and we may meet soon to discuss starting a club at their school. I'm always shooting new photos so be sure to check out www.landnpro.com or www.picasaweb.com/lukewisher
